Vvines "R" line-up of wines has thoroughly impressed us and the Chardonnay may be the best in the group! This is an approachable, balanced style of Chardonnay, offering the fresh fruit character with lively acidity and a smooth finish.
This is the perfect Chardonnay to celebrate Labor Day with!
"Pale straw in the glass with a green gold rim. The nose is restrained and cool toned, with Meyer lemon zest, white peach, Bosc pear, honeysuckle, lemongrass, and a subtle crushed oyster shell note. With air, a faint touch of beeswax comes through, while the oak stays quiet. Medium bodied and driven by bright acidity, the palate shows grapefruit pith, green apple, white peach, quince, and chamomile. A saline, stony mid palate gives it an almost Chablis like feel, with just enough texture and lees creaminess to add depth without weight. This is a stellar Bordeaux-style blend from Big Basin Vineyards’ high-elevation Coastview site in the Gabilan Mountains. The blend is composed of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Merlot, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot.
The mountain setting and rocky soils give the wine a cool-climate, mineral-driven character that brings balance, purity and complexity. Once you try this, you will want a case!

Traditional Austrian mountain cheese made exclusively from raw cow’s milk in the Alpine region of Vorarlberg, where it carries the European Union’s Protected Designation of Origin preserving centuries-old cheesemaking traditions.
