A small-production Sauvignon Blanc from the coastal mountains in the Casablanca Valley of Chile, the fruit here comes from vineyards just 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean and has tons of exposure to that maritime climate.
Fresh and lively with loads of citrus and an almost salty finish, this is the type of clean Sauvignon Blanc we love drinking!

"The 2023 Quartz Sauvignon Blanc is bright and lively, this beings with vivid aromas of lychee, lime zest, herbs, wet stones and white floral notes all bursting from the glass. 2022 Solar Ash Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This is our go-to Cabernet Sauvignon for the holiday season, and we are thrilled to sample it this Saturday!
Knights Valley in Sonoma County is home to some of our favorite Cabs, and Solar Ash knocked it out of the park with their 2022.
Full and generous, it is built around concentrated dark fruit with mocha, spice and a lightly stony character. Despite its richness, the wine has enough structure and freshness to keep it from feeling heavy, with firm, polished tannins carrying through to a long, savory finish.
This is one to stock up on!

"The wine comes from the Bavarian Lion Vineyard, situated across from Peter Michael in Knights Valley—one of Sonoma’s warmer AVAs and a source for several iconic Northern California producers. It shows ripe kirsch quality with mineral aromatics, well-integrated toasty oak and clove notes, and a lingering hint of violets and candied rose. Full-bodied and effortlessly quaffable."

2021 Big Basin Vineyards Pinot Noir Lester Family Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains

The Santa Cruz Mountains are home to some of our favorite Pinot Noir producers, and the team at Big Basin is consistently among the best.
This wine is energetic and finely detailed, featuring brisk acidity and a silky, precise texture that carries flavors of red plum, peppery spice, bay leaf, eucalyptus, and menthol. It has an appealing savory, almost Old World quality, balanced by plenty of juicy fruit. 
The Lester Vineyard Pinot Noir is simply stunning, and we can't wait for everyone to try it!

"This bottling wears herbs with considerable pride and panache. Light in the glass, a rusty minerality gives way to aromas of thyme, oregano, red plum and tangerine rind on the nose. "Beaming, bright and poised throughout, the 2021 Pinot Noir Lester Family Vineyard is a textbook example of this Corralitos site. It was fermented with 100% whole cluster and aged in barrel for 18 months, a combination that seems to particularly suit this site. This should be a beautiful wine to watch over the next 7-8 years, if not longer."

"The 2021 Pinot Noir Lester Family Vineyard offers up an explosive of sweet red berry fruit, mint, orange peel, spice and dried herbs. I would give this a year or two in bottle to come together, as the flavors are still quite primary. This is a pretty fruity style for Big Basin."

Las Gravas is a must-buy for wine aficionados, blending Mediterranean power with elegance. Mostly Monastrell (Mourvèdre) with a touch of Garnacha, it has energy, depth, and a chalky, stony finish. Aged 100% in oak foudre, this vintage stands out for its Jumilla typicity and refined structure.
This is going to be the star of the tasting table this Saturday!
98 Points Luis Gutierrez, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2021 Las Gravas contains grapes from a vineyard planted in 2006 (that already contributed to the 2020), and it has given the wine a fine-boned profile, with more freshness and varietal Monastrell notes, a rustic-elegant feeling. It keeps the incredible quality level of the 2020, with Jumilla typicity; it's Mediterranean, powerful and energetic, with balanced 15% alcohol and a chalky, rocky, stony sensation in the finish. This always contains some 8% to 12% Garnacha. Production has grown to 37,905 (numbered) bottles. It was bottled in June 2023, as they did a longer élevage. This matured 100% in oak foudre; they abandoned the 500-liter barrels for this wine and for Pie Franco."
