Good Morning Sabah People,

This was a passion project of David & mine -- to make an Alto Boot using a 100% vegetable tanned & undyed leather, from laces & lining to insole & upper.

This leather comes from a very specific tannery in Tuscany, which, since 1946, over four generations, has dedicated itself entirely to the meticulous craft of vegetable tanning. They use only artisanal techniques with a deep commitment to premium quality & ecological sustainability.

The result is leather hides that are highly coveted in the shoe industry and produced in limited quantities: milled for softness, unblemished and beautiful, and created using only natural ingredients.

These Alto Boots will turn a beautiful golden brown with wear and exposure to sunlight and the elements. They'll form to your feet like a glove. And with a touch of care, these boots will last you a lifetime.

As the first release (No. 001) of our EDIZIONE SPECIALE -- we've only made 100 Pairs of our undyed Alto Boots, available now online at the Sabah Portal and at all Sabah Houses.

Pair #1.

I've been wearing my pair since November, when we first sampled our Alto Boot in this undyed Tuscan leather. And I've worn them quite a bit.

They're the perfect blend of elegant & working. As such, I wore them out to the desert in New Mexico last week, hiking through sand & rock. And then dusted them off, and dressed them up for a nice dinner in town that very same night.

Using a milled leather, our Undyed Alto Boots are comfortable from the get-go. However, the prize comes after a few weeks of wear. They form to your feet like a glove, and turn a rich, golden brown as demonstrated above & below. These boots are head turners.

Undyed and unfinished, the elements will leave their imprint: a drop from a cocktail, a step into a stream, an afternoon in the sun. Over time, each element is absorbed into the leather, merging into a rich patina that tells the unique story of your pair. Add a touch of conditioner & oil and then they'll really sing.
