Meet Mitsuru Lowe: Tie-Dye Artist 🎨

Aug 4, 2026, 3:23 PM•sabah

Good Afternoon Sabah People,

We're happy to introduce our friend Mitsuru Lowe, the artist behind Peaboy - a project he started with his daughter so they could hand-dye clothing together, simply for the joy of making something by hand.

Today, Mitsuru creates beautifully tie-dyed upcycled apparel and accessories, sharing his work through pop-up workshops, special brand collaborations, and a handful of retail partners. Last week, we visited Mitsuru to learn more about his process, his practice, and the story behind Peaboy.

This Sunday, August 9th, Mitsuru is bringing Peaboy to Sabah House Brooklyn for a day of tie-dye, community, and good company.

Join us for tie-dyeing from 11 AM - 6 PM, with a complimentary sake tasting and Japanese shaved ice served from 2 PM - 5 PM. Read on for more details -- we hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

The Sabah Dealer

Tie-Dye with Mitsuru.

At his current pop-up shop at Bin Bin Sake in Greenpoint, we learned that growing up around skate and surf culture shaped the way Mitsuru thinks about clothing today. Rather than buying something new, he finds satisfaction in giving existing garments a second life through color.

Rooted in a Japanese appreciation for well-loved objects, his practice is about using what we have, caring for it, and keeping it in circulation for years to come - the same way we think about Sabahs.

Bring an old T-shirt, tote, or another well-loved piece that could use a new life! We'll also have handkerchiefs available to tie-dye. Leave with a one-of-a-kind piece and a little more color for the rest of your summer.

SEE YOU THERE!

Classic Summer Stone.

This marks our third summer making Stone Sabahs, and it remains one of the pairs we look forward to wearing most this time of year.

For many Sabah people, Stone is the pair that becomes indispensable during the warmer months. It's an easy step beyond the classic browns - a soft sandy neutral in a smooth nubuck leather that wears in beautifully and feels distinctly its own.

Stone's classic shade is endlessly versatile, and it's become one of our signature warm-weather neutrals.

It pairs seamlessly with everything, making it one of the easiest shoes to pack for boat days, long weekends and trips to the Mediterranean this August.

Available on Sabah Portal and the shelves of all Sabah Houses - so grab a pair of Stone Sabahs for the height of summer and enjoy!

SHOP STONE SABAHS

Where to Next?

We hope you'll join us this Sunday, August 9th, at Sabah House Brooklyn. Spend some time with us, make something by hand, and enjoy a colorful summer afternoon.

Open to all. Come by & stay a while.
