One of our main motivators in opening the El Paso workshop was to introduce a broader range of materials into our craft. From faded denim & crush velvet to custom prints & vegetable tanned leather, it's been so fun to source from some of the best suppliers around the world.
So when we first sampled a Baba in Italian corduroy, made by a family-owned textile producer founded in 1942, we were psyched with the result. It was our first-time ever working with this material generally reserved for apparel.
And while typically considered a cooler weather textile, we felt like this thin-ribbed, light weight corduroy gave an unexpected twist to our backless slides most beloved come summer.
So, today, we introduce Corduroy Babas in three colorways: olive green, matte black, and an olive/indigo two-tone.
