Good Morning Sabah People,

Sometimes we just can’t wait … something we’ve made just feels so good we got to get it out.

That’s the case today.

Following on the success of our Palermo Babas, the initial offering of our Collector’s Series - we introduce the Tokyo Baba: made from a textured, deep black leather upper handwoven by artisans in India, and then crafted into a Baba in our El Paso workshop in a collaboration of global craft.

We’ve made exactly 270 pairs; each embossed on the outsole per its unique number within the batch (## of 270) along with its production month & year.

As our Palermo Babas are just about sold out, and with peak summer here (yes, it’s August 1, today!), it just felt right to get these out into the world and on your feet. Enjoy!

Introducing the next offering of our El Paso Collector’s Series, which combines rare craft techniques and materials from around the world with the abilities of the talented shoemakers in our El Paso workshop.

Handmade in El Paso.

Not only do these Babas have a unique textured appearance, but they also offer enhanced comfort. Initially they may feel a bit stiff, but within a few steps -- the weave moves & forms with your feet, making for a set of Babas that may quickly become your new favorite.

We imported the woven leather from India to our El Paso workshop where our team worked carefully to turn them into 270 pairs of Babas. It was our second-time working with a woven leather, but our first time working with artisans in India, making this a unique collaboration of craft.

The second style of our Collector's Series -- the sole of every pair is heat embossed with the month & year of production along with its unique number within the larger batch series.
