Howdy Sabah People,
We just received our final restock of Palermo Babas for the year. They're made from a vegetable tanned leather, intricately woven in Almanza, Spain, before being crafted into Babas in El Paso.
They're the style that kicked off our Collector's Series, and have been beloved ever since thanks to how beautifully they age, and how the weave forms to your feet unlike any other pair on our shelves.
With just 200 available in this last batch, we don't expect them to last long, and then we won't have 'em back before next summer.
Enjoy!
Sincerely, The Sabah Dealer --

Our Palermo Baba features intricate, vegetable-tanned leather uppers hand-woven by skilled artisans from the north of Spain. These artisans hail from the town of Almanza, renowned for its storied shoemaking heritage dating back to the early 18th century. These woven uppers are then meticulously crafted into Babas at our El Paso workshop.

That's Jesus above - we call him Chuy. He's been making shoes for 14 years (first cowboy boots and now Babas), a skill he learned from his father, who was a skilled cowboy boot maker. He lasts almost every pair of shoes we make (below is the process of 'lasting') -- an incredibly difficult skill that's rarely done by hand anymore.

Marcella, shown below, works in our quality control room where she perfects every pair right before they're packed to head to Sabah HQ. In this instance, she applies a touch of paint, perfectly matched to the leather, as a finishing touch. It's amazing the amount of detail that goes into every single pair.

Classic on a classic -- there's just something about red. We particularly love it in our peshtemal!

Join us for an evening of dancing, cold drinks, and good times as we celebrate the launch of our newest El Paso made Bolo: Brown Cow -- at Little Sabah Austin.
We're keeping it Texas with cold drinks from Big Hat Spirits, legendary Frito Pie from Texas Chili Parlor, and live music from local talents Red McAdam and Marley Hale. More details below -- see y'all out there!
