The Pair I Always Pack ✈️

Hi Sabah People,

The photo above tells you just about everything you need to know about my Brown Suede Bolos.

I've worn this pair everywhere.

They're the very first sample we ever made — nearly two years ago now — and they've criss-crossed the world with me ever since.

The secret is the leather: an incredibly soft Italian suede that's infused with a touch of wax, just like our Alto Boots, making it more durable and more water resistant than most people expect. Don't be afraid of this suede I like to say.

After all that wear, they still look and feel fantastic. The only thing they need now is a fresh sole, which is one of my favorite things about the Bolo. A quick resole, and they'll be ready to go again.

They were the only pair I packed for our trip to El Paso last week, as documented below, alongside my Hokas for morning runs.

If you're looking for a pair you'll reach for again and again, these are hard to beat.

Travels through El Paso.

Last week, we made the trip from New York to El Paso -- always a long one, but always worth it once we land.

El Paso is a city that's stolen our hearts at Sabah - the people, the food, the history, and the weather. I love the dry hot days that cool down on a breezy evening.

James, Izzy, Steven, Lalo and I spent 48 hours documenting our shoemakers, their stories, and the craft behind every pair we make.

Between long days at the workshop, we explored more of El Paso — from the Scenic Drive through the Franklin Mountains overlooking Mexico to the historic Mission Trail through Socorro & Ysleta. We discovered Three Missions Brewery, wow, and no trip is complete without a meal at Taconeta, one of our favorite eateries in El Paso.
