Good Morning Sabah People,
I've been eagerly awaiting this late summer release: a one-off production of our best-selling Porto Sandals in two colorful soft suedes from our favorite Italian suede tannery.
We call them Verde and Rosso - an earthy, sage green and a pop, classic red; a one-time production with only 200 pairs of each colorway available.
So as we head into the end of summer, grab yourself a pair to soak up the last few weeks, and for warm weather getaways ahead. These Porto Sandals rock. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
The Sabah Dealer --

Best Friends in Verde & Rosso.

Meet Amelia Mehta & Aleksija Vujicic — best friends who met in college in Los Angeles and now live a couple blocks from each other in Manhattan’s NoLiTa neighborhood.
Friends of Sabah, both professionals in the fashion space, we’ve always admired them for their style, spirit and community!
So when our Porto Sandals arrived in Verde & Rosso, we asked them to show us how they should be styled & enjoyed -- over two looks, a couple coffees, a walk through the neighborhood, a spirited Citi Bike ride, and and a delicious lunch at Bar Oliver... The Verde & Rosso Sandals were the perfect companions for such a fun afternoon.

When running around town with Aleksija and Amelia, we chatted about how they met, their careers, their recent trip to Paris, including the places they frequent there (coffee at Dreamin Man, lunch at Bistrot des Tournelles, shopping in Le Marais, dancing at Bambino), and their thoughts on styling, especially with color.
Amelia: "When I think about styling outfits, I start with the core piece, which could literally be anything from a top to shoes to a necklace, then I work around it. In this instance, the bold red and green colours of the sandals called for equally bold outfits — and in my opinion, a mix of sporty and feminine. I leaned into that in both outfits. My favourite styling tip right now is pairing a jersey with... absolutely anything."

We discovered a shared appreciation for Bar Oliver - a newish Spanish restaurant located at the end of the Bowery. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - it's the kind of place you can linger and that's welcomed.
Aleksija, who was born and partly raised in Barcelona, shared, "Bar Oliver (and specifically, their tortilla), is the closest I can get in New York to recreating the feeling of sitting outside at a casual tapas restaurant on a balmy Spanish summer evening (my happy place)."
|
|
Then we asked our favorite question... Where to Next?
Aleksija: "Speaking of mixing sporty and feminine… Amelia; our other best friend, Lia; and I are working on a little side project that will do exactly that. We’re excited to share more in the Fall!"
They shared a bit more with us, including photos. Let's just say it's a cool project. Stay tuned and follow along for more: Amelia & Aleksija.

Last Restock of Summer: Porto Marrone.
|
|
Our Porto Sandals in brown just restocked for the last time this summer 🏖️ meant exactly for trips like I'm on now -- where you’re hiking to hidden coves that reveal beautiful swimming holes; where the beaches are rocky and require a little extra footwear support; and then when you want to dust ‘em off and where them dressed up for dinner.

Wheels down, about to land on the islands with Porto Sandals on my feet!
