New York Times loves our Babas! 🗞️

Oct 21, 2025, 8:31 PM•sabah

Hi Sabah People,

A few weeks back, NYT's Wirecutter apparently tested over 50 Women's Flats and our Fort Worth Brown Babas were rated one of the best. Thank you, Wirecutter!

We subsequently sold out of all our Babas within just a few days! Thankfully, our workshop in Turkey was able to quickly flip into gear to make more, and they've just landed at Sabah HQ.

NYT said our Babas are "more secure than most" and "manage to stay comfortably and securely on the foot". And that was always our idea... our Babas are made with a water buffalo leather insole that forms to your foot with every step, creating a secure and comfy fit.

They also wrote about our signature medium-brown leather getting better with age -- the entire upper will develop a beautiful worn-in patina with wear.

Hopefully, this makes you excited for your own pair of Fort Worth Brown Babas. We don't expect our restock to last long!

Sincerely,
The Sabah Dealer
