Sabah Summer Updates 😎

Jun 16, 2024, 1:11 PM•sabah

Good Morning Sabah People,

First things first, Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there! We hope you're relaxing in a pair of Sabahs surrounded by loved ones today. ❤️

Otherwise, above, that's the first pair of Babas we ever made in our El Paso workshop, using an undyed vegetable tanned leather we source from Spain.

I took this first sample pair in December '21 on a trip to Mexico for wear testing. Almost three years later, they're still my favorite Babas I own - and the pair I slip into most often come summer. Cooking, beaching, gardening, a quick trip into town or to the bodega -- they're more than indestructible, they just keep getting better looking & more comfortable every season.

In the last photo, I am wearing a brand new pair (next to my worn ones) to demonstrate how they age. Pretty special... a subtle nudge to consider getting a pair this summer!

Sincerely,

The Sabah Dealer

Caracas on Bianca.

The Caracas Frame is a new take on our past tortoise. Lighter in tone with an amber lens, they're like a treasured pair of sunglasses you might discover at your favorite vintage store (read: 70's retro cool).

Burst, two ways.

Originally hand-drawn at Sabah HQ by our designer, Elaine, the Burst pattern is playful and eye catching. A hair-on leather dyed to have a dark green base and then printed with irregular 8-point blue stars -- we've made them in a limited run as Sabahs & Babas.

A subtle two-tone.

Our Turmeric Babas combine two soft suedes in shades of yellow -- they pop, but in that subtle cool way. These go very well with navy!

Lido Babas, final pairs.

We're down the final pairs of our Lido Babas in women's sizing, and then we won't be restocking this colorful stripe that'll be a great summer vacation companion. 🏖️
