“Football Loves You” is a new RE series, in collaboration with Where Is Football, that spotlights the stories of fans, players, and people who love the beautiful game and what the game gives back to them.
Our next FLY spotlight lands on the founders of The Players Network ⚽
🦋 How does football love you?
Football has shaped my entire life. It gave me access to opportunities I never would have had otherwise - it opened up the world to me, both literally and figuratively. It’s taken me across countries and cultures, but more importantly, it’s given me people - teammates, friends, family - who have changed my life forever. — Sam
Football has loved me in the communities that it's given me. I get to connect with my culture. I get to connect with my mom's country. I owe football a big thank you for giving me my National Team. — Brianne
🦋How does football foster love and community?
Football fosters love and community in every space I’ve been a part of. It shows up in the way we support each other on and off the field, in the friendships that grow over time, and in the honest, meaningful conversations that come from the bond we build through the game. At TPN, community is the foundation of everything we do. We created this space so players don’t have to navigate their careers feeling lost or alone. Instead, they can come together to support one another, share experiences, and grow, both as players and as people. — Gabby
Football builds love and community when we reject gatekeeping and silos, and choose togetherness instead. When players come together as a collective, we’re stronger - and that energy extends beyond the game. It creates belonging, connection, and shared purpose, which is something our world needs more of right now. — Sam
