⚽ How are you reimagining the game?

At Girl Power, we are reimagining football as more than a game. We use football as a platform for belonging, education, leadership and opportunity, particularly for women and girls from refugee, migrant, ethnic minority and underserved communities.

We create safe spaces to play, while building pathways beyond the pitch — into coaching, education, leadership and community action. We want women and girls not only to participate in football, but to have the confidence, skills and opportunities to lead and shape the future of the game.

🖤 What is core to your community?

Belonging, sisterhood and opportunity! We believe every woman and girl deserves a space where she feels safe, seen and valued — regardless of where she comes from, her identity, ability or economic circumstances.

But belonging is only the beginning. We want women and girls to access opportunities, develop their potential, step into leadership and then open the door for the next girl.

The future of women’s football cannot only be measured by sold-out stadiums. It must also be measured by who gets access, who gets opportunities, who gets to lead — and who gets to shape the future of the game.

ICYMI: Alexia Putellas bought the WSL broadcast rights in Spain!

After realizing her grandmother wouldn't be able to watch her play in the WSL, Alexia Putellas of the London City Lionesses secured the WSL broadcast rights in Spain! On her YouTube Channel, ElevenTV, Putellas has the rights to broadcast one WSL match per week. She's also exploring the WSL broadcast rights in Latin America as well.

To build community and grow the game, we need to be able to watch the game. Alexia Putellas is helping make that happen!
