Chicago’s high-end home sales hot at mid-year but nothing like 2025

The luxury housing market has cooled from last year’s record pace but remains one of its strongest on record through the first half of 2026. Tight inventory and buyers competing for distinctive homes continue to keep the high end of the market resilient.
