Hi none,
Seasons don’t arrive like a light switch. I used to think they did but the older I get the more I notice that it's actually a slow roll, a gradual brightening, and the transition itself is the thing worth paying attention to. I've been trying to relish it this year instead of rushing past it.
The mornings have been their own slow ritual. I've been making smoothies, which sounds ordinary until I tell you that mine has become something I actually look forward to: strawberries, blueberries, chia, flax, almond butter, almond milk, and a drizzle of ALIVE. That last part surprises people. But a really good olive oil adds richness, antioxidants and are perfect for glowy skin.
And I have to tell you about Sienna Spiro, because I've been listening to her on repeat and I don't think she's as famous as she's about to be. She's a young British singer-songwriter, raspy and soulful, and her music feels like late afternoon light, golden and a little melancholy and somehow also hopeful. The song that got me is "The Visitor." Put it on the next time you're cooking dinner and tell me it doesn't immediately make everything feel like a better version of itself.
We have a bundle and save sale running through Memorial Day weekend, and if you're stocking up, the four I keep reaching for this time of year: ALIVE for the smoothies, the pan, the fruit bowl. ARISE over burrata with roasted strawberries, which is one of the best things I've eaten this spring. ARDOR on all pastas, and will be a part of pasta salads too. PARASOL in a simple vinaigrette I've been putting on everything, whisked with Dijon and a little honey and lemon, done in the time it takes the skillet to heat.
The slow roll and the ease is the whole point. I hope yours is a good one.
Warmly, Aishwarya
