THE MID-LIFE CRISIS
We were brought up to believe the mid-life crisis was bad: a stomach-tensing feeling indicating that the bottom was about to drop out and you would begin your free fall into the back nine of your life.
But lately, we’ve been feeling like the “mid-life crisis” isn’t something to fear but rather something to run towards.
Maybe we don’t even need to wait until the midpoint of our lives (whenever the heck that even is) to ask the fundamental questions:
• Do my daily actions align with my values?
• Are my daily actions bringing joy and value to my life and others?
• Am I feeling challenged and fulfilled?
There’s a good chance that the answer to the above questions is going to be a no at various stages in your life. But that’s a good thing. It means you’ve identified that something isn’t working. And once you’ve identified the problem, you can set to work on making changes.
So don’t wait. Have your mid-life crises early and often.
Shake things up and keep on growing.
