NEW YEAR, NEW YOU
It's New Year’s Day, and whether or not you’re into the whole resolutions thing, the thought of making a change has likely crossed your mind.
It’s no secret that most resolution-makers revert back to their old habits come February. Change is hard, and it’s a hell of a lot easier to come up with a list of reasons for why you can’t do something.
But whether you’ve got an undesirable trait that you’re trying to conquer or just want to Keep on Growing in 2026, we’ve got some tips to better set you up for success:
MAKE IT INTRINSIC
If you’re making a resolution just for the sake of it, you’re probably not going to stick with it for very long. Focus on something that really matters to you. Zero in on how accomplishing your goal will change your life, and how you’re going to feel by making that change.
START SMALL
Success, in any form, doesn’t happen overnight. It takes doing the little things right, day after day, to lead to lasting change. We definitely encourage you to dream big, but focusing on those tiny milestones will keep you on track and motivated.
SET MEASURABLES
Take your larger goal and break it up into a series of small milestones. Get as specific with these as you can. Then, assign deadlines to each. You can make these monthly, weekly, or daily.
WRITE IT DOWN
Writing your goals down on paper is proven to increase the likelihood of you hitting them. Better yet, write it down in a journal where you can keep track of your progress.
TRACK PROGRESSs
Daily journaling is one of the shared habits of the world’s most successful people. Take 15–30 minutes each morning to track your progress and make any other notes about how you’re feeling about your goals. This is also a great place to jot down a few wins or things you’re feeling grateful for each day, which has been linked to increased happiness when done regularly. Don’t worry, no one’s going to read it unless you end up being ridiculously famous.
