Yesterday, Ugmonk landed in the New York Times! After 18 years of putting one foot in front of the other, it feels good to get noticed for the things we've built our brand on: quality, intentionality, longevity, and details. The Times was covering a shift happening in tech where companies are moving away from generic swag toward well-made goods that people actually want to use. Less cheap hoodies and branded water bottles, more things worth holding onto. We're not anti-tech or anti-AI (there are certainly good and bad sides to it), but we do think the world has enough fast and disposable. What people actually want is less, but better.
