HONORING MARATHON EXCELLENCE
Marilyn Bevans & The List
On Friday in Boston, we celebrated Marilyn Bevans – the first Black American woman to run a sub-three hour marathon – and the legacy of The List, honoring the American-born Black women who have accomplished the formidable feat since. Led by our NYC Community Manager Erica Stanley-Dottin, on The List herself, we explored the experiences that have been etched into running history, reflecting on the success and setbacks of our sport over the past five decades.
In running, we always think about moving forward. But sometimes, in the moments where you pause in the past, you find the perfect piece of inspiration for your future goals. Subscribe to our Youtube channel below, where we’ll be sharing inspiring insights from Marilyn Bevans in the following weeks, as she reflects on her historic run in Boston in 1975 and the path that was forged from that finish line.
