If I'm being candid, I used to think my living space was too small. I worried I wouldn't remember to water something or would choose poorly and feel terrible when the plant didn't survive.
But I brought one home anyway - a Snake Plant, of course. Reliable, sculptural, patient with me when I forgot to water it. I only took a few minutes a day to care for it, but I started to care for myself a little more, too.
