| Seattle's Defense Played On Sunday With 'A Mission' To Put Everyone On Notice
|
JACKSONVILLE—On the very first play of Seattle's game on Sunday, defensive tackle Byron Murphy II sacked Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence. That play would prove to be indicative of how the rest of the game for Seattle, specifically its defense, would go. Heading into Sunday's matchup, Lawrence had been sacked six times through five games. And following the Seahawks' 20-12 win, that stat had more than doubled, with Seattle getting to Lawrence for seven sacks.
"We got a dog front seven," rookie Nick Emmanwori said following the game. "We got a dog D-line."
