I don’t tell this story often, but on the public release of one of our more exciting updates — I figured now is as good a time as any.
I’ve talked many times about starting the company with my Dad over 12 years ago, but what gets less airtime is that for the first 3 years of the business the only people I had hired were my two childhood best friends.
We were living together, working together, and making very little money together.
There was a discussion at some point in our 2nd year that I’ll always remember.
We were selling 50 wallets a day, and asked one another:
“If you could freeze the company exactly as it is now and sell 50 wallets a day forever, would you?”
Unanimously, the answer was yes.
We were thrilled that a few dozen people were deciding to carry what we thought was a great wallet. Now a decade has passed now and it turns out there were millions of you that agree.
It’s one of my favorite memories, and helps keep perspective on what Ridge is today—a brand that has millions of customers across the world, has donated millions to charity, and occasionally gives away Lamborghinis.
Now that brings us to our update:
Ridge Wallet with 2.0 Features & Built for Life Warranty
Whether it was 5 or 50 or 500 wallets a day, we’ve remained detail-oriented and this latest refresh is no different. We’ve sweat the small stuff in order to make the Ridge Wallet lighter, with improved modularity and new, thoughtful design touches. See more HERE.
But the warranty is potentially my favorite part.
I’ve always held the belief that we should be designing gear built to last for life—and now we’re fulfilling that promise to the furthest degree.
As always, we’ll continue to send new parts for free to keep your gear functional.
But with the Built for Life Warranty, we’re now answering the question of what happens if your gear gets lost or stolen.
