Hey there, In 1954, comic books banned vampires. The new Comics Code killed Tales from the Crypt and some of the greatest horror comics ever printed. But horror wouldn’t stay buried. Two kids who grew up on those comics, Stephen King and George Romero, brought them back to life in Creepshow. What they loved is what we love. Ink soaking into cheap newsprint. Halftone dots drifting over the lines. Color printed hot and a little crooked. The Devil’s Deal puts that look in your hands: old paper, horror comic inks, halftones, copy machine grit, and 16 new horror fonts from Remedy667. Exhibit A: Matt Tower’s alien, below. The ink-soaked paper is Phantom Paper. The halftones are DupliTone. This deal (and it really is an insane deal) is only here for October. It ends October 31 at 11:59 PM PT.
