Wyndham Clark had the highest final-round score of a tournament winner this year. He carded 3-over 73 on Sunday at Shinnecock Hills and still won the U.S. Open at 4-over, which also happened to be the highest winning score of this season. A month later, Ryan Fox had the highest opening round by an eventual winner. The Aussie posted a 2-over 72 on Thursday at Birkdale. Interestingly enough, Clark also holds the record of lowest finish by an eventual winner this year. He fired a 60 in the final round of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
