1994: The First Presidents Cup ended with the U.S. team defeating the International team 20–12 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Davis Love III was undefeated in the tournament. He hosts the RSM Classic on the PGA Tour now. 1997: Seve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo were elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame. The Spaniard received 92% of the votes from 371 ballots, while Faldo received 78% of the votes. Combined, they had 11 majors, including five Masters. 1997: Viktor Hovland, eight-time winner on the PGA Tour and part of two Ryder Cup-winning European teams, was born in Oslo, Norway. Hovland is known for a funky sense of humor (as demonstrated here), frequent changes of swing (and swing coaches), and above all, bringing the most innovative training gears on the range—here is an example.
