Founder’s Memo (Tariffs, Sale, Launches)

Mar 7, 2025, 5:56 PMministryofsupply

Hi all,

We are so grateful for the countless messages we’ve received from you the past few weeks, wondering how the news of increased taxes and tariffs will affect our business. While the long term repercussions are hard to nail down, we wanted to take a moment to share our short term plan with you:

Part 1: Prices will stay the same (for now). Price changes are a last resort for us, as we know they are an obvious barrier to purchase. We’ll do our best to absorb the rising costs, and cut back elsewhere to compensate. For now, we can (at the very least) firmly commit to not raising prices in March. Further, we commit to NEVER compromising on quality or testing standards.

Part 2: Pulling Forward our End of Season Sale. We’re hoping to counter the operational bumps by pulling forward our end of season sale - it will publicly launch next week, but you can dig in now and take an extra 15% off already marked-down favorites (code FINAL15 on applicable Men’s and Women’s pieces). Between this and our freeze on pricing, we hope you'll see it as an opportunity to shop these pieces at their lowest possible price.

Part 3: Doubling Down On Our Vision. After years of doubling down on logo-less products, we're unveiling a personal passion project: a small-batch launch we're calling the “Founders Tee.” Nothing fancy here - a simple cotton staple (with unique Ministry of Supply branding) that we’d throw on during stressful times when it’s time to buckle down and get to work. This feels like one of those times, so if you’d like to show your support, here it is - live for the next 72 hours.

We are here to stay, and will weather this new challenge with the grit, grace and agility that you’ve come to expect from us. And keep an eye out -- lots of new products coming, including Chapter 1 of our partnership with Atoms next week!

Thanks, as always,

- Aman
