Ciao there,
Tomorrow is Groundhog Day, and we’ll find out if we’re in for an early spring or more of this wintry weather. No matter what, we’re already seeing the first signs of spring at M.Gemi. I’ve been working with our artisans in Italy on new styles for months, and it’s so exciting to see them come to life. Below are just a few of the spring trends I’m most excited about:
- Ballet trainers: The unstructured fit you love about The Una has made its way to sneakers on silhouettes that mold to the foot just as ballet shoes mold to a dancer’s. Our take, The Rosamaria, comes in so many fun combinations and is available to pre-order.
- The clog comeback: We’re rethinking 70s-inspired silhouettes with shockingly lightweight wood platforms, handwoven finishes, and sculptural heels.
- Intrecciatto leather: The Orlanda, The Cerchio Due, and more showcase the handwoven Italian leather technique.
- The new must-have neutral: Navy is softer than black, offering a subtle touch of color to any look. Find it on familiar favorites like The Lisinda and The Brenda or newer styles like The Donatella and The Sacca Donna Lattice.
Let me know what styles you’re most looking forward to this spring!
Con affetto,
Maria
