Six months ago in Paris...

I hope this note finds you well! I'm writing with a peek at something coming from us this week, but before that, a story...

Six months ago on Saturday, I was in Paris having one of those days you know you'll remember forever. A wedding is monumental for so many reasons, and our experience, surrounded by friends and family in a place that now means so much to the both of us, was beyond anything I could've dreamt of.

When I got engaged to my now husband—a Frenchman—on a sunny August morning in our favorite corner of the Musée Rodin gardens, we knew our pie-in-the-sky dream was to return to this city with our friends and family (from near and far) to be married. We weren't sure how or when, but there is a certain magic to this place, and these gardens, that has our hearts.

As the planning began, shoes were naturally a first question. I dove in with Sarah and our design team and had so much fun dreaming up special styles originating from our classic silhouettes. It never crossed my mind that we'd wind up creating a special capsule of these shoes as we were making them, but the resulting shoes were so beautiful, and so comfortable, that after the wedding they felt like natural additions to our bridal collection.

Every part of that day six months ago was something I'll cherish forever. There are no words to describe how grateful we are for the love and energy (and fun!) our friends and family brought that weekend. From the ceremony to the dance floor, it was a swirl of radiating energy that I will remember forever. I have never danced so hard, for so long, so if ever a pair of shoes have been put to the test... (these truly were comfortable all night long).

It has been very special to think about sharing a personal moment like this with our community. Stay tuned for the two-piece capsule launching tomorrow. I hope you'll love it.
