Hi there,

On Thursday we released the third Limited-Edition Kamagata, this time with a Rosewood handle, and I wanted to make sure you saw it before it's gone. The last two runs both sold out, the most recent in under two hours.

Meet the Rosewood Kamagata.

Rosewood Kamagata

This blade is famous for its distinct shape. It pairs the flat edge of a Nakiri, which lands flush on the board for clean, full-contact chops through firm vegetables, with a pointed tip a Nakiri doesn't have, for coring, garnishes, and fine herb work.

Each knife features a one-of-a-kind Damascus pattern across 67 layers of VG-10 stainless steel, forged in Seki City, Japan, a town that has been making blades for over 800 years. This release pairs that blade with a Rosewood handle, a first for the Kamagata, and ships with a handcrafted magnolia wood saya to protect the blade between uses.

Some highlights:

  • Damascus steel blade with VG-10 stainless steel core, forged in Seki, Japan

  • Flat Nakiri-style edge and pointed tip for control and detail work

  • Rosewood handle, new to this release

  • Handcrafted magnolia wood saya included

  • Limited-edition release

We won't make more of this version. Grab yours before the rest go.
