1. Do your research... but leave room to freestyle

Before a trip, put in the work to really understand the place and see what resonates. But remember that the best moments usually happen in between the planned ones anyway.

2. Become a student of light

The same street at 6:45 in the morning feels entirely different from the way it does at noon. That early light—the way a city wakes up—has a unique feeling.

3. Stop creating for engagement

Don’t chase technical perfection at the expense of feeling. A little imperfection can add depth, texture, and emotion that makes an image feel more human and memorable.
