Harris could announce running mate pick as soon as today
In order to finalize her selection of a running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris met with leading contenders for the position on Sunday. Three candidates -- Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, and Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania -- met Harris at her residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, joining Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who reportedly interviewed on Friday. Harris could make her announcement as soon as today as she seeks to gain momentum into her pending nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

Kamala Harris's campaign branded Donald Trump "scared" after he proposed changing the previously set debate schedule. The Republican rallied in Georgia seeking to blunt the vice president's surging momentum in her bid to become America's first woman president.
