We packed up the truck and headed out to Texas Hill Country—where our longtime friends, music duo Jamestown Revival, took us out for their perfect high summer day. They assembled the itinerary, and we brought the gear that would take us from casting early-morning lines on the cypress-lined San Marcos River to a sunset tailgate with locally sourced steaks on the grill back at the ranch.
Flint and Tinder’s summer collection features the fabrics and cuts that serve us best on days when temps climb toward triple digits—from a poplin version of our favorite Oxford shirt to relaxed cotton-linen drawstring shorts. We’ve also introduced quick-drying designs favored by watermen and anglers, built for trips out onto the open water and the cookouts that commence afterward. Since putting down roots in nearby Austin, we’ve learned a thing or two about handling the heat. Swimming holes and ice-cold cocktails are helpful, but the right clothes make all the difference.
