Introducing the Icon Series: A new HH series where we’ll be spotlighting remarkable changemakers in our community who are redefining what it means to go beyond the ordinary.

Meet Basma, a trailblazing runner, a beloved member of the #HHFam, and the powerhouse founder of Qawiya Collective— a virtual and in-person safe space dedicated to empowering Muslim women runners, inspiring them to embrace and harness their inner strength. Her mantra? “Forward is a pace.”

We’re beyond proud to recognize Basma as our first-ever Icon of the Month! 🎉 She doesn’t just inspire through her incredible online presence and the Qawiya Collective; she actively creates fitness events that foster support and camaraderie among women, all while navigating the demands of being a full-time college student. And yes, she does it all in style with her HH hijabs!
