The ferocity of fall surprises me every year. Life seems to pick up a chaotic speed, thanks to fast-approaching holidays, the demands of work in full swing, and, I imagine, some kind of intemperate cosmic tug.

But when it’s good, it’s electric. Like a life force we’re meant to harness and stow away for slower February days. I try to remind myself of this when I feel the familiar creep of overwhelm.

I also ground myself in simple rituals, like my daily allover slathering of our body butter. It’s essential for me when the weather turns cold—it keeps skin so supple during dry winter months. And it’s our most repurchased product for a reason: The texture is incredibly luxurious and it’s high-performing (with clinical results to prove it). The process of massaging it in helps me return to my body. It’s beauty as wellness.
