If you’re already ready to shop fall, keep scrolling—we have something for you. But I’ve been getting some questions about dressing for summer, and I wasn’t able to get to them all in my this & that note yesterday. Summer officially goes until September 22, and in places like LA, the hottest weeks might still be ahead. So I get it. I’m not ready for summer to be over yet either.

One of my top picks this season is our Italian-made open-weave set. I wore the top and skirt together, dressed up a bit, for our French Pharmacie event. But you could also take the set in a poolside direction or wear the pieces individually. (The top will be great come fall, worn over a button-down with jeans.)

My initial vision for the white G. Label cover-up above was something you could throw on between the cabana and the kitchen—confirmed, it’s perfect for that. It’s made from the airiest cotton and has these special blouse-like sleeves. And then this Buttercup Dress—the dropped waist and intentionally oversize fit make it more cool than sweet. I love that it’s a dress you can simply slip on (no zippers or buttons). And when it gets a little cooler, just add a cardigan.
