I started going to Aspen when I was three years old, back when the base was basically mud and a wood hut. I started in toddler ski school and went at least twice a year—my dad owned a restaurant there—until my dad passed away. After that, I took a break; there were too many memories—it was too heartbreaking. But a dear friend convinced me to go back some years ago, and I fell in love with the town all over again. There were parts I remembered, like the natural beauty of the mountains, the creative energy. And there was also so much that was new—back when I first started going, there was no shopping scene, no dining scene, nothing fancy at all, really.
Opening our newest goop store in a place so close to my heart feels like a full-circle moment—as personal and special as opening our very first store goop store in the Brentwood Country Mart.
If you’re in Aspen, I hope you’ll stop by—and while you’re there, make the most of it with our 48-hour guide to one of the most magical spots in the mountains.
Love,
Gwyneth
