Lately we’ve been grappling with one of life’s big questions: How do you roll the sleeve of a button-down (or the shirtdress below) so it looks effortless and doesn’t scrunch up or slide down throughout the day?

Two expert strategies: One, do as our director of fashion does and use a hair tie—conceal it in the fold and voilà, a rolled cuff that stays where you want it. Or take our associate styling director’s advice and roll it up in wide folds to just above the elbow, then secure with a concealed safety pin to pull the cuff taut.
