After dreaming about it for so many years, it feels pretty incredible to have just opened our first-ever dine-in goop kitchen location in Del Mar. I've had a Pinterest board for a goop restaurant for probably 15 years, so I knew I wanted the design to be timeless, with elements of New York and Parisian brasseries, but also lighter oak and that sun-washed Southern California feeling. But more than anything, I wanted it to be a place you actually want to gather, eat, and feel at home. I love to feed people, and creating an atmosphere of comfort and home is really at the core of who I am.

There’s a real sense of nostalgia in the location, too. I grew up spending so many happy weekends nearby in Leucadia, so it feels especially meaningful to bring goop to this part of California. If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll come by.

the details - When I come to New York, this is where I stay—in large part because of the Shibui Spa. When you’re in the pool and relaxation area, it feels worlds away from downtown. The Greenwich Hotel also has some of the best room service in town, courtesy of Locanda Verde downstairs. The food is so good, I ordered it for breakfast, lunch and dinner three days in a row.
