Your questions about Inside the Ropes at Pebble Beach®, answered

Hi there,

Thanks for taking a closer look at Inside the Ropes. I’m Meredith, and I’ll be your personal point of contact for the trip. Since many of you have written in with the same few questions, I’ve pulled the answers together here – so you have everything you need to decide.

The essentials

What’s included?

Three nights at The Lodge at Pebble Beach™, a practice round at Poppy Hills, tournament rounds at Spyglass Hill® Golf Course and Pebble Beach Golf Links®, carts all three days (if you'd like, or you can walk), two cocktail hours and two seated dinners, Peter Millar gifting and a few surprises we’re keeping under wraps.

What’s the format?

Two-person best ball, with both Net and Gross divisions – so it’s competitive for every level of player. You can also opt out of the tournament if you would like. Tee times begin at 8:00 AM each morning.

Are caddies available?

Yes, at Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach. Just let us know and we’ll arrange them; caddie fees are the participant’s responsibility. Carts are included on all three days.

Can I sign up as a single?

Absolutely. If you sign up as a single, we will pair you with another single.

Can I bring someone who doesn’t golf?

Absolutely. The Double Occupancy (one golfer) package includes a non-golfing guest, who joins both dinners and receives the gifting.

Is transportation provided?

We can help coordinate a shuttle for you from Monterey airport to Pebble Beach. Once you are on property, there will be shuttles to take you to each of the courses.

Can I come early or stay longer?

Yes. You can arrive a day early at the preferred Golf Digest rate, and you’re welcome to extend your stay both at your own expense. Either way, we’ll coordinate directly with Pebble Beach for you.

Round 1 – Spyglass Hill® Golf Course
Tournament play begins

Round 2 – Pebble Beach Golf Links®
Followed by a cocktail hour and awards dinner at the Beach Club
