Here's what you missed. | | | | | | | | IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HYPERLITE MOUNTAIN GEAR | Hyperlite Just Made Its Unbound 40 and 55 Packs Even Stronger | Hyperlite has rebuilt its Unbound 40 and 55 around Dyneema Woven Composites, a new fabric that bonds a 100% Dyneema woven face to a waterproof composite core. Two years of R&D on expeditions from Alaska to the Grand Canyon proved it out: more abrasion resistance, more durability, less weight. At 27.6 and 28.7 ounces, both packs are lighter than the originals yet carry heavier loads better. This is all thanks to a second contoured removable stay, a retuned hip belt with improved load transfer, and wider, more naturally curved shoulder straps. Internal seam taping cleans up the exterior, a low profile sewn-in daisy chain replaces bartacked loops, side bottle pockets now work one handed, and a fully removable shockcord system locks down trekking poles or oversized bottles. The result is a lighter, tougher, more capable pack built to go virtually anywhere. It's the kind of do-it-all investment that can take you from a weekend on the trail to your next far-flung adventure. | |
