A new year invites reflection and resolutions for betterment. But longevity is never about a single season—it’s about continuity: daily routines that quietly shape how we feel today and how we age tomorrow. Elysium’s team and products are helping people develop these routines, from the Golden Globes to the morning news in Los Angeles. This month, Elysium co-founder and chief scientist Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., appears on KTLA to discuss healthy aging,
Women’s Health examines NAD+ for skin,
ELLE chooses Cofactor as the “Best Collagen supplement,” Basis is featured in the 83rd Annual Golden Globes gift bag, and our Aging 101 series breaks down the real science (or lack thereof) behind NAD+ injections.

Basis brings longevity science to the
gift bag

Longevity science just stepped onto one of culture’s biggest stages. For the
83rd Annual Golden Globes,
Robb Report curated its exclusive gift bag for presenters and winners—and selected
Basis as the only longevity supplement. The inclusion reinforces Elysium as the leader in NAD+ science, and
Basis as the only NAD+ supplement proven to be associated with slower biological aging. The Golden Globes gift bag made headlines in
TODAY, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, USA Today, and many more publications.

Elysium chief scientist and co-founder Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., joined the
KTLA 5 Morning News hosts Lu Parker and Glen Walker on January 19 to discuss the science of longevity and practical strategies for healthy aging. In the segment, renowned longevity researcher Dr. Guarente suggested maintaining a healthy body weight through a Mediterranean-style diet, a balanced exercise routine that includes both aerobic activity and weight-bearing movement, and maintaining social connections. He also discussed the central role of NAD+ in aging.
“My own lab found that NAD+ is intimately related to aging 30 years ago,” he said.
“We started Elysium to launch a product that would raise NAD+ in people—Basis—and it’s been tested in almost 20 clinical trials, showing that it does raise NAD+ and confer health benefits.”

names Cofactor as “Best Collagen” supplement
| Cofactor made
ELLE’s list of the best supplements for skin, hair, and mobility. The article emphasizes that supplements should be intentional—aligned with real health goals and built on ingredients the body can readily use. That framework is why collagen stood out. As the editor notes,
“Collagen is the one ingredient the beauty world can’t seem to get enough of, and for good reason.” ELLE named Cofactor its Best Collagen pick—Elysium’s advanced collagen system with an NAD+ boost, designed to support skin health from the inside out.

NAD+ injections explained: what the science actually says
As interest in longevity grows, so do questions around emerging trends—like NAD+ injections and infusions. In an
Aging 101 article, we break down how NAD+ works in the body and why supporting the body’s own NAD+ production differs fundamentally from delivering NAD+ directly. While NAD+ injections are making headlines, NAD+ coming from IVs doesn’t align with how the molecule is absorbed or used by cells—making precursor-based approaches far more biologically practical. As neurologist Charalampos Tzoulis, M.D. told
Vogue, “In very plain words, intramuscular and IV NAD+ intake is silly.”

asks: “Is NAD+ the secret to reversing skin aging?”
| Women’s Health interviewed Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., co-founder and chief scientist at Elysium, alongside other experts to understand the role of NAD+ and skin health. The article reflects a growing recognition that skin health is more than skin deep. And, Dr. Guarente, explains that generating NAD+ isn’t as simple as direct supplementation.
“NR can get into cells where it’s then converted into NAD+; you’re essentially giving cells the building blocks to make more NAD+.” Products like
Basis,
Signal and
Cofactor all boost NAD+, alongside additional nutrients that support skin health.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH
“I do many things not just to stay healthy, but to continually improve my quality of life—and I firmly believe Basis is the foundation of that success. There’s no single metric that can fully capture the significance or measure the impact Basis has had over the past eight years, but the growing body of scientific evidence is clear. Taking Basis daily is where it all starts.”
