Interest and excitement around NAD+ as a key molecule for longevity keeps on growing. Earlier this month,
Good Day Austin called on Elysium chief scientist and renowned longevity researcher Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., to help explain why. Dr. Guarente discussed his 30+ years of research on NAD+ and how
Basis can boost levels as we age to
“make cells more youthful.” Elysium has been in the spotlight across other leading health and lifestyle publications this month, too:
Coveteur explored the “NAD+ craze,” comparing oral supplements like Basis to pricey, unproven treatments like IV NAD+.
Forbes called
Vision and
Cofactor “must-haves” for spring. And
Harper’s BAZAAR selected
Mosaic for skin barrier health because it boosts moisture content from the inside-out. Finally, if you’re new to Cofactor and wondering how to take it, we’ve got some inspiration from the Elysium team.

Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., talks longevity science with
Good Day Austin

Over the course of 30+ years researching the biology of aging at MIT, Elysium co-founder and chief scientist
Leonard Guarente, Ph.D., helped shape the field of longevity science. He recently discussed the topic with
Good Day Austin—and shared his recommendations for healthy aging. Dr. Guarente said that taking
Basis to raise levels of NAD+ is one intervention that really works—and shared the evidence to support it.
“We’ve tested this in humans,” he said and discussed results from internal studies and published data that showed an association between long-term use of Basis and slower rate of aging. Dr. Guarente also called out
Matter for anyone interested in maintaining brain health, pointing out that it reduces age-related brain shrinkage and cognitive decline.
“I take both Basis and Matter—they’re both going to improve your function and your health,” he said.

: NAD+ has gone mainstream
|
|
|
NAD+ is not just for celebs and scientists—it’s a part of a daily approach to aging well, according to a recent article in
Coveteur. The fashion and beauty publication highlighted Elysium’s
Basis as a proven way to increase NAD+ levels by 40% in four weeks.
“There are no disputes or refutations that NAD+ supplementation therapy is beneficial for the body—after all, it’s an essential coenzyme that exists in all cells,” writes Tanya Akim, who also talks about the rise of NAD+ IV treatments, which can take anywhere from 1.5 to 12 hours, cost $1,500 to $5,000 per session, and aren’t backed by clinical research.

Thinking about IV NAD+? Think again.
|
A pilot study found that most NAD+ from a 6-hour IV infusion gets excreted in urine. Translation: Thousands of dollars flushed away by your body. Basis is clinically proven to boost NAD+ by 40%—no needles, no side effects, and at a fraction of the cost.

calls Mosaic a solution for your skin barrier
|
|
|
The latest beauty buzz is all about skin barrier function—and
Mosaic is a supplement that can help improve yours, says
Harper’s BAZAAR. They’re talking about the skin’s outermost layer, made of proteins and lipids, which protects the body from free radicals, pollutants, and environmental irritants. When the barrier is healthy, skin is hydrated and radiant. When it’s compromised, skin may be dry, irritated, and prone to issues such as breakouts. Boosting your skin’s hydration can strengthen the barrier, and one of Mosaic’s many benefits is that it works to increase moisture levels and resiliency from the inside-out.

calls Cofactor and Vision “must-haves” for spring
|
|
|
Elysium products snagged two spots on a
Forbes list of the best new products to try this spring/summer.
Cofactor made the cut due to its “powerhouse” 4-in-1 formula, which boosts collagen levels while targeting the root causes of its decline. Also on the list:
Vision. Why? Because Vision was developed by a leading retinal specialist at Stanford University School of Medicine,
Theodore Leng, M.D., and it
“helps filter blue light, protects against oxidative stress, and supports long-term eye health by addressing age-related pigment loss.”

Elysium-approved: Delicious ways to take your Cofactor
|
|
|
We hope you’re enjoying the benefits of
Cofactor, our new 4-in-1 advanced collagen system. It’s designed to be taken in 8 oz of liquid—but you can get creative with your collagen-boosting combinations. The Elysium team shared some ways we’ve been enjoying Cofactor. What’s on the menu? Adding it to protein shakes and smoothies, making a morning Cofactor latte, or keeping it simple by mixing the powder with coffee and milk. Cofactor dissolves easily in hot liquids, but drink them within 30 minutes because NR is sensitive to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. For cold recipes, we suggest using a high-powered blender for the smoothest taste. For more ideas, check out the link below.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

Cofactor: “Now I have a reason to choose a specific brand. NAD plus vitamin C gives this
collagen extra stars. My skin has extra elasticity.”
