Hello from the life on the road!

Hi there,

Mélanie here. This month I hosted 9 events in 9 days for the launch of my new cookbook, Riviera. So much love went into it, and I have to pinch myself every time one of you tags a recipe. A few moments I keep coming back to:

Since New York is home, I'd been thinking about the right place to kick off the Riviera Cookbook tour and Happy Medium in Manhattan was exactly it - a true place to unwind after a long day of work. People made collages out of Ghia boxes, painted their own plates in true Riviera fashion to eat the recipes on, and Hazel Ferguson was in the corner doing a live painting of the cover the whole time. After all the planning madness, it finally felt like I could take a breath.
In Los Angeles, we celebrated at Bar Besito, a sexy dining room with delicious tapas (and Ghia). One way ticket to Bar-the-lo-na.
I got to speak in front of a bunch of Stanford students about building a CPG company!!
In San Francisco, we hosted an aperitivo at Flour + Water Pasta Shop with Soho House. Fresh pasta, good people, what else could I possibly want? Hearts full.
Did a talk at one of my favorite bookstores in the world: Omnivore! Steph from West Bev made the most delicious Spritz (pre-batched from our bottle with a homemade herb and aromatics syrup, bubbles to boot on site). A few friends and colleagues even surprised me, it was great.
For my last stop, I was the chef in residence at Scribe Winery in Sonoma. We sold out of books on Day 2! Must have been the Panisse (or maybe the wine! Ghia is about balance after all). What a special place I was lucky to be a part of.
Our last and final stop will be in Paris and Nice sometime this summer. We’re still ironing out the details so will let you know when we have a plan in place. I would love to see you!
