Michael, a seasoned business executive and strategic thought leader with over 30 years of experience, joined Clayco in early 2024 as its first Chief Growth Officer and President of Chicagoland. Before this, he served as President and CEO of World Business Chicago, an economic development organization, from 2020 to early 2024. There, he worked with over 100 C-Suite executives to support local companies and attract new corporate relocations, focusing on equitable prosperity across all 77 neighborhoods. Additionally, Michael collaborated with the Mayor’s Office as Chief Marketing Officer, aligning city marketing and business development with the economic growth plans of Mayor Lightfoot and Mayor Johnson.
