Frequently Asked Questions

Who should apply?
Senior and emerging leaders from business, government and nonprofit organizations who want to make a greater impact on Chicago's future.

How much time does the program require?
Nine monthly sessions plus work on your capstone project.

Do I need to live in Chicago?
Participants should have a strong connection to the Chicago region and a commitment to its future.

What makes this program different?
The Chicago Leadership Circle combines the academic expertise of the University of Chicago Graham School with the business insights and network of Crain's Chicago Business—bringing together leaders from across sectors to learn from one another.

How much time does the program require?
The fellowship includes nine monthly sessions, collaborative discussions and a capstone project that allows you to apply what you've learned to a real challenge.

What is the capstone project?
Each Fellow develops a project that applies what they've learned to create meaningful value for their organization and the broader Chicago community.

Can I attend the Information Session before applying?
Yes. Join us on August 6 to meet program leaders, ask questions and learn more before the application deadline.

Is financial support available?
We are committed to reducing financial barriers and building a cohort that reflects a broad range of experiences, perspectives and backgrounds. A limited number of scholarships are available, and applicants may indicate their need for financial assistance as part of the application process.
