Good morning.

In covering residential real estate, I see how closely housing is connected to nearly every aspect of people’s lives, from where they work to their financial stability and long-term opportunities.

At the next Crain’s Elevate, I’ll moderate a conversation with leaders from Wintrust, Impact for Equity, Housing Action Illinois and Woodstock Institute about why economic mobility starts at home.

We’ll explore the barriers limiting access to affordable housing and the strategies gaining traction to expand access, drive investment and create lasting opportunity across Chicago. We’ll also discuss what business, government and civic leaders can do to help strengthen communities and support the region’s economic future.
