LEWANDOWSKI WILL OFFICIALLY WEAR NO. 9 |
Global superstar and newest member of the Chicago Fire FC, Robert Lewandowski will officially wear No. 9 for our Men in Red. Lewandowski has worn No. 9 for much of his historic career, spanning FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich and the Polish National Team. He continues building his RL9 legacy with the Fire!
"It wouldn't look right if he was playing with another number. It was an easy decision for me to give it to him, and I really hope we can achieve a lot of things together on the pitch.
I’m excited for our Club to welcome him to Chicago and get on the pitch together and create great moments for our fans."
- Hugo Cuypers
Hugo Cuypers’ new number will be announced in the coming days.
We can’t wait to see Lewandowski and Cuypers together on the pitch, undoubtedly scoring goals for the Fire. | |
