A brief, two-game homestand comes to an end today when Chicago Fire FC hosts New England Revolution at Soldier Field.
The Men in Red return to the pitch days after a 1-1 draw against Inter Miami CF in front of a Club-record 63,094 in the iconic venue. The crowd helped the Fire find an opening goal just 10 minutes in, when Andrew Gutman peeled away from a defender before whipping in a pinpoint cross for Robert Lewandowski to volley home. His sixth goal in seven MLS starts put Chicago up 1-0 at the end of the first half, but Casemiro's header off a Lionel Messi corner kick leveled it early in the second. Chris Brady took over the rest of the way, making six stunning saves to hear his name chanted multiple times throughout the night.
Kickoff is set for 4:30 PM CT.
KEYS TO THE MATCH 🔥

1 |
Pocket Passer: Andrew Gutman can scramble like the best of them, but the defender showed that he can also drop pinpoint passes under pressure with his assist on Wednesday night. Will he have another one on Sunday?
|
2 |
Red Zone Threat: On the other end of Gutman’s pass was Robert Lewandowski, who is in classic red-hot form in front of goal. The football legend has scored in the last three matches and is a threat to make it four in a row against New England.
|

Shutdown Corner: In only his first start with Chicago, Noah Allen had a match to remember against Miami. Per FotMob, the defender led both squads in defensive contributions while winning all aerial duels. Another shutdown performance could help the Fire get all three points at home.
