FIRE FACTS
Chicago Fire FC opens the home portion of its 2026 schedule at Soldier Field against CF Montréal after beginning the season on the road. Hugo Cuypers scored Chicago’s first goal of the year, and four players made their Fire debuts, including MLS first-timers Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Anton Salétros and Puso Dithejane. Robin Lod also made his club debut after 158 regular season appearances with Minnesota United FC.
Montréal comes to town following a trip to San Diego, looking to build on last year’s 1-1 draw in Chicago. With the Fire holding the early edge in goals (1-0) and corner kicks (5-2), the stage is set for a competitive night on the lakefront. | |
