WHAT'S GAME CHANGING? 'I love American history. I love American heritage, I like heritage brands. I like durability, good things that are well made and that are dependable, and that don't have airs. When I think about Brooks Brothers and game changing, I think about sportswear. This shirt is a perfect example. Until the button-down collar was invented by Brooks Brothers, collars would flap in everybody's faces when they were playing tennis or croquet, or whatever sports. Americans have influenced sportswear so much.'

PROUDEST MOMENT? ‘My grandmother was a flapper bride and she and my grandpa went to India on their honeymoon. She asked my grandfather for permission to talk to an Indian man who was wearing a madras shirt and pants.
